Our Story

Built in these hills. Run by the people who live here.

Ridge Pasture Care started with one truck, one bush hog, and a stubborn idea: that land work could be done honestly, on time, and to a standard worth being proud of.

Brian Whitfield grew up on a small cattle place outside Monticello, learning fence work from his daddy and how to read a pasture from his granddad. After fifteen years running heavy equipment for a regional outfit, he came home to start something of his own.

Ridge Pasture Care opened in 2008 with a used tractor, a borrowed trailer, and a phone number passed around at the feed store. Seventeen years on, we run three trucks, a small crew, and the same simple promise: quote it honestly, show up when we say, and leave the place better than we found it.

We're independent on purpose. The decisions are made here, in Wayne County, by people who'll see you at the gas pump. We aim to be the call you make first — and the call you don't have to make twice.

“Do the work like it's your own place. Everything else takes care of itself.”
